Indications and Usage

Used to prevent or treat fainting.

Dosage and Administration

Hold the crushable ampule away from the face and crush it between the thumb and forefinger. Carefully bring the crushed inhalant toward the affected person's nostrils.

Warnings and Precautions

• For external use only
• Do not use if you have a respiratory condition such as asthma or emphysema
• Discontinue use and consult a doctor if symptoms persist
• If ingested, seek immediate medical help or contact a Poison Control Center

Contraindications

Do not use in persons with respiratory conditions such as asthma or emphysema.

Adverse Reactions

Ammonia vapor is irritating to the eyes, nose, and respiratory tract; overexposure may cause irritation.

Storage and Handling

Store at room temperature, away from light.
