How It Works

1. Set the height. Adjust the lens holder so the lens sits at a comfortable level for the patient standing upright, anywhere from 10.5 inches to 2 feet 6 inches.
2. Seat the lens. Place the scleral or hybrid lens bowl-up in the lens holder and fill it with preservative-free saline.
3. Switch on the LED. The light illuminates the lens from beneath so the patient can see and align with its center.
4. Hold both eyelids open. With the stand supporting the lens, both hands are free to hold the upper and lower lids apart.
5. Lower onto the lens. The patient lowers the eye onto the lens until it seats, then blinks to release.
