Indications and Usage
Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
Dosage and Administration
Instill one drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening. Do not exceed once-daily dosing, as more frequent administration may lessen the IOP-lowering effect; separate from other topical ophthalmic products by at least 5 minutes.
Warnings and Precautions
- May cause permanent increased brown iris pigmentation
- Eyelid skin darkening and eyelash changes (length, thickness, pigmentation), usually reversible
- Use caution in active intraocular inflammation or with risk factors for macular edema
- Remove contact lenses before instillation and reinsert 15 minutes later
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to bimatoprost or any component of the formulation.
Adverse Reactions
The most common adverse reaction is conjunctival hyperemia; other reactions include eyelash growth, ocular pruritus, dryness, and irritation.
Storage and Handling
Store at 2°C to 25°C (36°F to 77°F).
