Editorial Policy How our practice guides are written.
Vision Rescue Pro guides are written for licensed eye care professionals who are adding or running a service. This page explains what the guides cover, where their facts come from, how products appear in them and how to report a correction.

Our standards
What every guide aims to do.
Inform, not rank
Guides explain what a service, device, test or product is, how practices put it to work and where to confirm the details. They do not score, rank or review brands.
Primary sources first
Brand and product facts are checked against manufacturer websites, FDA labeling and 510(k) records, CMS and AMA coding resources, payer and plan websites, professional groups such as the AAO and AOA, and peer-reviewed research indexed in PubMed.
References you can follow
Each guide lists the sources behind it, and a master sources page gathers every reference in one place so readers can check a claim at its origin.
How guides are kept accurate
Labels, codes and program terms change.
We revise a guide when a manufacturer label, a coding rule or one of our program terms changes, and we welcome corrections from the practices that use them.
Labeling governs
Statements about indications, dosing and device use follow the current label or instructions for use. When a guide and the label disagree, the label is correct.
Products we sell
Vision Rescue is a licensed pharmaceutical wholesale distributor, so many products named in the guides are in our catalog and link to it. A mention or a link is not an endorsement.
Corrections
If something is out of date or wrong, email providers@visionrescue.com with the page link and the source for the correction, and our team will review it.
