Optase

About Optase

Optase is a brand of Scope Health Group, and its catalog is built around a three step daily routine: heat, cleanse, hydrate. That structure is the quickest way to make sense of the twenty products stocked here, because almost every one of them belongs to a step.

Heat

The Optase Moist Heat Mask is microwavable and reusable, and it anchors the first step. A separate cooling mask is stocked for allergy season and puffy eyes, and it is reusable in the same way. Both are worn over closed eyes.

Cleanse

Eyelid hygiene comes in four formats: tea tree oil wipes in boxes of 30, a tea tree oil cleansing gel in a 50mL bottle, the Optase Protect hypochlorous cleansing spray in 100mL, and a preservative free makeup remover from the Optase Life line made with hyaluronic acid and manuka.

Hydrate

Preservative free drops make up the largest part of the range. Optase Intense comes as a 10mL bottle counted at 300 drops, as a two pack, as 30 single dose vials, and bundled with the Magic Touch applicator. MGD Advanced, Hylo Relief and Hylo Forte are the other bottled options, Allegro is a further preservative free drop, Hylo Night is an ointment in a 5g tube, and Comfort is a spray applied to the closed eyelid rather than into the eye.

How to choose

Starting from nothing, the DryEye Kits pair a mask with a cleanser and Intense drops, which covers all three steps in a single purchase. If you already have a routine, buy the step you are missing. Drop counts tell you more than volume does: 300 drops in a 10mL bottle is a clearer measure of how long it lasts than the milliliters are. Which step to prioritize is a question for your eye care professional.
