What the program is built to do.
Vision Rescue Pro serves ophthalmology and optometry practices alike. Here is what each program does and how a practice starts.
Each piece works toward the same four outcomes for the practice and its patients.
Patients who know what you offer
Displays, the Doctor Locator and VisionRescue.com keep your products and services visible to patients in the waiting room and at home.
Product revenue that stays with you
Sell from your own shelf at wholesale cost, and earn a 15% participation credit on eligible OTC orders placed through RescueLink.
More conversations about services
Patients who understand their options are more likely to ask which exams, fittings, treatments and procedures your office provides.
Patients who follow through
Patients receive the exact products you recommend, with a simple way to reorder at home.
What every account includes.
Begin with wholesale ordering and RescueLink, add a display if your space allows, then use the rest as it fits your practice.

Send what you recommend, in under a minute.
A product name scribbled on a note is easy to lose or mix up at the pharmacy. RescueLink texts or emails the patient a personalized link to the exact OTC products your office recommends, with your office pricing applied. The patient checks out on their phone, Vision Rescue ships the order, and your practice earns a 15% participation credit on eligible OTC orders and reorders.
- Saved bundles for your common routines
- A patient queue so staff can send what the doctor built
- Browser based, with no EMR link and no stored patient health data
- Included on both display models
A display that keeps the sale in your practice.
A display keeps your recommendations visible while patients wait, so buying from your practice becomes the easy choice instead of a stop at a store later. Its digital screen can feature products, contact lenses, eyewear and your services, and RescueLink comes built in.
- $0 to qualifying practices
- Your team picks the products and sets the shelf price
- The screen can feature your services and products
- Stocked through Vision Rescue, with an annual minimum confirmed before you commit

A worked example for one practice.
For a practice that sees 20 patients a day, here is what in-office product margin and the RescueLink participation credit could add up to, using the stated assumptions.
Example practice: 20 patients a day over 20 exam days, or 400 patients a month.
- One in four patients buys in the office, and one in four orders through RescueLink
- A $67 order size, the average RescueLink order
- A 50% margin on shelf sales and a 15% participation credit on eligible RescueLink orders
- Six RescueLink orders per patient over a year
Shelf product margin
Shelf margin of roughly $3,350 a month.
RescueLink participation credit
100 new RescueLink patients a month, 7,200 orders a year.
Shelf and RescueLink together
About $9,380 a month.
Illustrative example on stated assumptions, not a forecast or guarantee for any practice. Shelf: 400 patients x 25% x $67 x 50% each month. RescueLink: 400 patients x 25% x 12 months x 6 orders x $67 x 15%. Eligible OTC product orders only; contact lenses and Rx are excluded. - $10 per kit plus the products, free logo setup

Is there a cost to join?
No. Registration is free, RescueLink has no signup fee, monthly fee or minimum, and a Doctor Locator listing costs nothing. Displays are licensed at $0 to qualifying practices that stock them through Vision Rescue and meet an annual minimum.
Do orders have a minimum?
No. Buy a single unit or a full case. Orders of $250 or more ship by FedEx Ground at no charge, and approved practices can use NET terms.
How does RescueLink pay the practice?
Each eligible OTC order or reorder placed through a RescueLink your office sent earns the practice a 15% participation credit on the net sale. Contact lenses and Rx are excluded.
Does RescueLink touch our EMR or patient records?
No. It works in a web browser, needs no EMR connection and keeps no protected health information.
How do contact lens orders reach us?
When a patient orders lenses on VisionRescue.com, the prescription identifies the prescribing practice, and eligible orders route to that activated practice for fulfillment and payment.
Which practices can activate?
Licensed eye care professionals, including ophthalmologists (MD or DO) and optometrists (OD), and their practices. We verify credentials before wholesale pricing is turned on.
Is the program built for optometry or ophthalmology?
Both. Surgical, medical and primary eye care practices use the same account to order at wholesale, send RescueLink recommendations, host a display and list on the Doctor Locator.

Displays are licensed, not sold, to qualifying practices while units last. RescueLink is a non-clinical tool that lets licensed eye care professionals send product recommendations; the 15% participation credit is paid on the net sale of eligible OTC orders placed on VisionRescue.com through a practice's RescueLink, with contact lenses and Rx excluded.
